Day 1:
These are what you can find in the box to start breeding Triops!
Container
Temperature strip
Triops eggs
Food to feed Triops
Spoon for feeding
Tube for clearing the waste in the process of breeding
Magnifer
Take note: Optimal temperature for breeding is 75 Fahrenheit .
Step 1: Stick thermometer strip at the lower part of the container.
Step 2: Add water till approximate depth of 1 inch.
Step 3: Add the Triops eggs (Container A)
(Spread across the container of water)
Step 4: Leave to hatch
Now, with open arms, we will welcome Triops' arrival! (:
Day 2:
Some of the eggs within the sand will start to hatch. It can be seen (not very clearly) by the dark red/blackish looking dots. Given another day or two, they should be swimming around! =)
Day 3:
We finally can see something swimming around and its a baby Triops fry! It is the small white sand-looking thing marked by the red circle.
They are actively swimming around the container!
Day 4:
Triops fry is getting bigger and more visble!
As usual, they are actively swimming around the container, a little faster than yesterday!
Day 5:
We can see the shape of Triops forming up!
They are growing at an amazing rate!
Day 6:
Baby Triops is getting bigger and we are able to see the active baby swimming around!
Day 7:
Triops are eating much more as the day goes by!
They are forever swimming around!
Day 8:
A much more defined shape is formed!
Day 9:
Triops are now able to lay eggs!
Day 10:
They are shedding their shells from time to time!
Day 11:
They are eating a lot more!
Day 12:
They are growing at a very fast rate! Almost double!
Day 13:
They are forever eating, swimming, eating, swimming! They are never tired of their lifestyle!
Day 14:
They are almost growing to their maximum size. They are constantly eating and swimming around!
Day 15:
Still growing by a bit! Watching them can really entertain you and relax after a long day!
Day 16:
They still manage to grow. Guess its due to the never ending mealtimes! But they are keeping in shape with all the exercising!
Adulthood!
The photos below are the adult ones! Triops grow at such a rapid rate that they will be adults within 2 weeks. They are able to breed at this point of time. Enjoy!
